I found this portrait of a horse in a local vintage shop. IT appears to be pastel, and signed by “Gordon Henshaw”. On the back is written “Baar Lad”, which I assume to be the name of the horse. The portrait is about 14 x 18 (more or less). I have not been able to find any information online about the artist or the horse. Anyone got an idea?

You may need to expand tour search !! I just barely remembered a name but that may be an Irish horse !! If you have plenty of time and nothing else to do,, there is also the thoroughbred registry !! The problem with searching for a particular horse is if there are no accomplishments, sales ect they just do not show up in a general search !! You have to search each registry !!
Didn`t find that artist name either,, are you sure of the spelling ??
