Bought this chair from an antique seller in Ocala. They had a lot of eclectic pieces, but only purchased the chair. She said it was from the 1800’s but I have no way of knowing this and wanted to see if anyone could help me learn anything about the chair? If it is even this old or if anyone knows anything about it? Unfortunately, my twin boys, who were 2-3 years old at the time damaged the chair. I plan to have it repaired and appreciate any advice or insight on these steps as well. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Well, in 3 weeks I have had 125 views, but no comments and was hoping someone could shed some light on what to do. Really did not want to take the chair to multiple places just to show it and hoped this could give me the best opportunity to gather info. Really do not know who or where to go. It is sad to see it in this state and am hoping to get it repaired but not sure if this is something just anyone could do. Really hoped this forum/post would yield more than my Facebook post did 🙁

This style chair was made from 1890 to 1920 ! Few even later than that ! You only posted a side view, front would have helped ! Many mfrs made similar styles ! Not valued at much because there were so many made !
