My friend has a silver box (approximately 10″ x 7.5″ x 2″ on 1″ legs) It is marked T800 with a maker’s mark. Also, it is engraved with Arabic lettering and then in English it says “To Mr. A.G. Lynch from Mahmud Muntasser Prime Minister of Libya Tripoli 2-4-52.”

A.G. Lynch was my friend’s uncle. He got this item about 25 years ago after his uncle died.

Andrew Green Lynch was Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Libya and later became Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Somalia in 1960.

Any ideas about the value would be greatly appreciated.
