Can anyone tell me if a true Nippon piece is only marked with a stamp ” Nippon “?
No other marks on it.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Yes,, This word was used before 1921 and is the English version of the word “Japan” !! Its the English translation from Kanji to English !! After 1921 it was changed to “Japan” or “Made in Japan” !! Some of the older pieces are quite collectable depending on the artwork !!

Thank you so much for the fast reply. I was just curious because the other pieces I have , have a symbol with a” M” in the middle and say ” Hand painted Nippon “.
