Good Day All. While I’m avid glass collector, porcelain is not my expertise. I’ve only found one post on Johnson & Brothers Friendly Village, but it was not answered. Just trying to determine the order of the marks. My folks have several pieces made in England. Yet, some have a red paint mark and “IRONSTONE” below the logo, and others have a green paint mark with “US Patent Reg” below the logo. I know the newer pieces and logos from China. So, anyone have feedback on the two marks? Any feedback is appreciated.

The green Mark

Hello MarthaHill,

Here are the 3 we are dealing with for the Friendly Village and other patterns. It’s thought the Mark with red paint Mark is older, then green, the the nonmicrowavable label. The pattern wad made for US market.

This will give you the succession of marks up to 1980 !! Just remember that there may be some small differences in marks even in different years !! Not all marks are always exactly alike !!
