We bought a little pottery crock/pail today at a local antique store, cream color with two narrow blue bands, both surrounded by narrow white bands — blue bands spaced about two inches a part and height of crock/pail about 5 or 6 inches. Does have a bail handle with wooden piece in center. It has what I am assuming is a maker’s mark on the bottom of a simple horseshoe stamped into the clay before firing. It has been well used but is in good condition. Just wondering if anyone might be familiar with that maker’s mark on what I figure is an American made crock/pail.
