I found this at a Salvation Army for a GREAT price, and thought it was very pretty! Royal Dux Bohemia…has the markings, 11.5″ tail to beak, 6.5″ tall
Can anyone tell me anything? There is one 1/4″ chip on bottom, see pictures.
Reads ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA and is genuine.
As for “value” … what you paid, give or take a little. Prices are pretty much down and damage (even professionally repaired) often smashes all hopes on a big deal.
You will always find people trying to sell these for US$ 500+ as many dealers speculate on the uneducated guy with too much money at hand, far more than ten years ago. Still, street value and fantasy price tags are two different stories.
I see that is the E mark,, can you tell me what the words are ?? Can read the Royal Dux but not the last word !!
