Can anyone ID the face on this ring? Looks to be a sterling silver 1/2″ by 1/2″ deeply etched cut-out bust of man (mythology god of some sort?) wearing a headpiece with attached wings – back ground of bust is black – the covering over bust is a clear material of some sort. No markings inside ring.
Hermes (Greek) or Mercury (Roman) had wings on head/ helmet and or feet. Messenger of the gods.
