This is by far the strangest thing I have picked.  I have searched far and wide for another like it and cannot find one.  I have seen other decorated toilet bowls, but none so elaborate, with such raised designs.  While it resembles an elephant at first glance, the front is a paw foot.  I have had a couple of people suggest that it is french.  I have looked for a maker’s mark but haven’t found one, although it may be underneath under the material stuck on the bottom.  Any ideas as to maker, origin, value?  I am certain that is from the 1800’s but can anyone date it other than that?  Thanks!
