Q: I’d like some information about my mother’s doll. The name “Effanbee” is imprinted on the back of the doll’s neck. The doll’s head, arms, and lower legs are composition, and the body and upper legs are cloth. She has eyes that open and close, human hair and is 21 inches long. There is a round box inside the doll’s back. I believe the clothes are original. I have a photo of my mother holding this doll in 1925. I’d like any advice you can give regarding how to sell the doll or donate it to a museum.
