Tiffany & Co. recently discovered that a former executive stole more than $1.3 million worth of Tiffany jewelry and sold it to dealers, according to federal law enforcement authorities. She was part of Tiffany’s product development team and was allowed to take pieces out of the store to discuss manufacturing costs. She apparently took pieces worth $10,000 or less because she knew the company’s daily inventories covered only more expensive items–pieces worth $25,000 or more.
