A Bond Street jeweler in London has created a new type of chain jewelry inspired by her father, who was a mountain climber. The gold chains are made with a knot instead of a pendant in the center. I have been tying knots in chains since junior-high days to make a chain the right length. Try it. A loose knot can be a centerpiece or a hidden chain shortener worn at the back.

Or how about a series of knots on one or more strands?
So glad to see this idea recognized! It is a wonderful way to personalize a beautifrul vintage or antique brooch. Chins up, girls!

This design is not new, sorry. I bought a three strand in 18 kt. at least six years ago on QVC, and it is beautiful, and people notice. To my knowledge, it was in the jewelry market in three and five strand. While QVC often hits designs and trends early, it often is led to them via other sources. I have not seen this available in a long time. However, it is wonderful, and if making a comeback it is wonderful. I have continued to wear mine throughout the years.
How is it hooked in the back when you have 3 sets of clasps & 3 different chain lengths?
