Q: We are curious about the “fold-away” table with benches that we acquired from a deceased friend. The plate on it reads, “The ‘Fain’ Fold Away Dining Room, Fain Mfg. Co., Norfolk, Va., patent and patents pending in U.S. and Canada.” We refinished it because we rescued it from a very wet basement. The molding trim board at the top of the wall piece is not part of the set and is not attached. We just think it makes the set look better.
