How to Buy or Sell — Photographs and Photographic Equipment
Any old camera has a value. So do stereo viewers and cards, screens, darkroom equipment, most professional photographs, sports photos, and amateur photos taken before 1918 that show everyday life or historic events. There are even artists who look for unusual amateur snapshots that are “artistic”. They are framed and sold at flea markets. Many working old cameras can be sold at your local camera store, which might be a better place to sell a camera than an antiques shop. Often, an old camera can be traded in for a new one, and this might be a good way to get some cash for your collectible. Camera stores like having the old parts and they also sell used equipment to photography students who are encouraged to learn skills on vintage 35mm manual cameras.
