Before you sign the contract, get clarification on important sales features.
1. Read the contract. Get a full list of the items and the terms of the sale and read the compete contract before you sign it. The auction representative must sign it too.
2. What are the financial arrangements? How high are the reserves? What are the commissions (both buyers and sellers premiums)? Do they charge a fee for credit cards? Is there a fee for photos, shipping or storage? What is the payment schedule? Who pays the insurance during transport?
