Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933) trained as a painter in the 1860s and operated his own decorating studio, Louis C. Tiffany & Associated Artists, in the 1880s. In 1885 he established the Tiffany Glass Company, where he made his famous stained glass windows. Tiffany’s name has become synonymous with iridescent glassware
