Brass Bed
Brass beds appeared in England in about 1835. They were designed for use on the farm or in a village home. The first patented design for an English metal bed was issued in 1849. The idea quickly spread to the United States and the Continent, and English brass bed manufacturers made and exported thousands of beds.
