Noritake Tea Set
Q: Can you tell me anything about my Japanese tea set? My mother, born in 1905, received it when she was young. The set includes cups, saucers and dessert plates for eight, plus a teapot, creamer and sugar. The china bodies are white inside and beige outside with sea-green edges. The beige area is decorated with hand-painted flowers and leaves. The mark is a wreath with a crown inside surrounded by the words ‘Chikaramachi, Hand Painted, Made in Japan.’
