2023 has been a tremendous year of quality American Brilliant Cut Glass selling at Woody Auction. Our 2-Day Auction is the best way to finish the year strong! Our in-person auction on Saturday, November 18, 2023, features lamps in abundance throughout these 350+ lots, followed by the finest 13” Lattice and Rosette tray Woody Auction has sold. A Vaseline over Cranberry cased cologne also makes an incredible highlight in this collection. Make your Christmas wishes known, as this will be the auction for you! Prior to our in-person auction, we have an Automated Online Only event on Friday, November 17, 2023, beginning at 8:00am CT. It features hundreds of sparkling items – also great for holiday gift giving!
As always at Woody Auction, we sell absolute, without reserve. There is also no Buyer’s Premium (BP) for those in attendance (when paying with cash or check)! Make your plans today to attend in person or bid “Live” online.
Please note that the Automated Online Only auction requires bidders to pay by clicking the CHECK OUT button on their invoice. Woody Auction will pay the credit card processing fee, but the bidder is responsible for the sales tax. Bidding is only available online on November 17, 2023 (no in-person, absentee, or phone bidding is available). If you win lots on Friday, you will be able to pick them up when you attend our Saturday event.
If a piece is labeled as “ABCG”, Woody Auction is confident the piece is American Brilliant Cut Glass. Likewise, if a piece is labeled as “BPCG”, the piece is Brilliant Period Cut Glass, but it may (or may not) be American. If a piece is labeled simply as “Cut Glass”, Woody Auction does not make any statement as to the age or maker of the item. There are times that additional information could become known after the catalog is published, so we encourage potential buyers to watch the online listing for potential updates (pattern names, makers, etc.).
Preview: Friday, November 17, 2023 –1pm to 5pm
Sales Tax: The prevailing sales tax will be charged to all BUYERs unless you are reselling the items. In this case, please provide LiveAuctioneers and Woody Auction with a current sales tax exemption license. If a copy is not provided, sales tax will be charged. Woody Auction must collect sales tax for all shipments to the states of Kansas. Bidders present at the sale will be charged 8.5% sales tax.

Condition: Woody Auction has attempted to call any flaws that can affect the value of an item, but final determination is left to the buyer. Common nicks and scratches have not been called.
Absentee Bids: Accepted with a written statement indicating the amount of your bid. DEADLINE: Noon, Thursday, November 16, 2023. All Absentee Bids will be charged a Buyer’s Premium (BP) of 15% of selling price plus shipping (the BP is 10% when paying by cash or check). Your Absentee Bid will be entered just as if you are present and bidding yourself. Please supply full name, address, phone number, auction date, lot number, short description and bid amount. Phone Bidding: Available for lots with a low estimate of $750 or greater (low estimates are found on LiveAuctioneers). Email your phone bid list to info@woodyauction.com by Noon on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, including your name, full address, a primary phone number, and a backup/secondary phone number. You will receive a phone call to confirm receipt of your phone bids. The BP for phone bidding is the same as absentee bids.
Please keep in mind that even though you may get an excellent deal on your prices in this auction, shipping costs remain the same and may seem high compared to your winning bids. We do our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible while wrapping everything securely to arrive at your home in excellent condition. We even pass our UPS discount on to you.
