When we heard that Phyllis Diller died on Monday (Aug. 20, 2012) at the age of 95, we fondly recalled our visit with the comedian. Ralph and I interviewed her at her house many years ago for our Discovery Channel TV series. She had a piano or organ in almost every room because she was a concert pianist. Her closet was huge and very well organized. It was filled with the weird dresses she wore when she performed, her many zany wigs, and drawers full of jewelry.
