Q. I have more than 350 pieces of Blue Onion pattern dishes and kitchenware. This is the only one item I cannot identify. It’s a 6-inch-high kitchen tool of some sort. The T-shaped handle screws into the open porcelain base. The woman who sold this to me said at first that it a “wine corker,” but even she agreed it couldn’t be a corker because its base is closed. What do you think?
