I have been told the attached settee and chair were manufactured by Limbert. I have found no marks. They have been passed down through the family. Has anyone seen furniture like this before? If so, can you tell me more about it. The cane was restored by a local Amish woman and the framing is all original, but old shellac was removed. I am looking for the best market in which to sell them. I am in a small rural central PA area.

Did you look at the link above ?? Treadaway gallery ??
Caned furniture was not his norm and many of his designs were out of the mainstream !! He went through three or 4 phases of design through out his carreer !!
If the estimate at Treadaway is close to what it sells/sold for your set might bring $1000. if you can find the right buyer !! Problem is going to be that yours has been re-done (wood part) and many do not like that !! They want original !!

I don’t know if this will work or not, never did it before.
The research I did, said that Limbert experimented with some can pieces but they were limited because they weren’t commercially successful.
