I am looking for a source to replace the pull nobs for this 1958 Chelsea cocktail sideboard (Model 856) Made by Beautility. Also any information on the accessory light bulb inside the bar, seller seems to recall some importance to it. Guinness book of World records. Mine still works. I have found nobs that look similar, but would like original.
Yes,,Looks like some type of florescent bulb or neon !! Beautility was made in the UK,, but this one is in Texas ?? I am in NE Texas !!
Really need better pics of the bulb !! Have you checked ebay/U.S. for those pulls !!
So many English antiques were brought here in the 1970`s that its possible you may find them here !!
Finding original knobs could take years !! Just keep an eye on ebay and they may turn up !! Since the knobs are easy to replace I would replace all with period correct pulls until you can find the originals !!
Need to see the bulb before I can say anything about it !! Chances are it is supposed to use a particular wattage since it will be in a wood frame !! Like not using a 60 watt bulb for something rated for a 20 watt bulb. That would be a fire hazard !!
