We bought this old lamp at auction and want to resell, but need to determine a value. Anyone there who can tell us the history and approximate worth? The base has a sign that reads “Par Bruchon.” The figure is a woman with a small scythe in her right hand and a stalk of grain in the other. She supports a post that curves upward and there is an old bulb that lights up. The base has a round hallmark with Paris in English and en Francaise under a cup that sits in a bed of grain. Help me identify the maker and history? Value?

Sorry I did not get back sooner but had a sick horse that took priority !! So that is your lamp on ebay ?? Don`t be taken in by some of these auction sites !! Value is not established by what they may say its value is !! Usually it is grossly inflated !! Value is established by what it actually sells for consistently !! There are many of his works on ebay,, many signed,, but no bids on any of them !! For a better idea of value that you can expect if sold,, go to that listing on ebay,, look on the left column for “show only” and click on “sold listings” !! That tells you what people are actually paying for his work !! There is a huge difference in asking price and getting price !! That is the reason most of the value guides are useless,, most all are out of date and do not reflect sales in todays market !!
