I have a large buffet sideboard by Luce Furniture Co. from Grand Rapids MI. It seems to be from 1900-1920. I also have a smaller sideboard as well as a matching hutch. I was wondering about a fair market value for these pieces. Real wood on the backs of the pieces along with dovetail joints and glue. I don’t see any nails.
This will give you some company history !! Your sideboard is Jacobean Revival in style !! Value always depends on condition and if it has been refinished or otherwise altered !! Ebay has some unreal prices but none are even getting views and no bids !! The reason for this is that this type furniture is not in a collectors realm and it does not integrate well with todays homes or furniture styles !! I would say this sideboard should bring between $200. and $300. on a good day !
