My daughter-in-law has this petite carved chair which belonged to her late father. Someone said that it was made by a famous artist, but we have been unable to find any information about it. There are no markings on the bottom except for part of what appears to be a manufacturer tag or an inventory tag. Can anyone help with any information or value?
Thanks in advance.
You can search for a year and will not likely find the mfr !! Every mfr had their version of the same chair seems like !! And furniture was not marked individually !! Occasionally if sold in a set the mfrs name would be on the underside of the table but even that is rare !! I often see these at garage sales and thrift stores here in Texas and have not seen one same as mine either !! My mother had yet a different flower/crest on hers !! The fit so nicely at a sewing machine that they are often used as sewing chairs !!
