Hi and happy holidays, all.
Recently came into possession of a Widdicomb dining set (table and 6 chairs) and am having difficulty identifying, authenticating, and valuating. What wood, style, age, etc. Also what is the value/price? Lots of conflicting info out there so hoping some good folk here can help. Pics are attached and any info is greatly appreciated.
Thx and Cheers

Hi there and Merry Christmas !! Your dining set may have info underneath the table top !! Some mfrs did this for use by the workers that made it !! Check there and see !!
It is the typical 1970`s French Provencal style,,I remember the style well !! Yes,, the prices on all online sites are ridiculous and so far I have not seen any that sold for those prices !! Widdicomb did make some nice furniture but most were the earlier pieces in classic stained styles !! Problem with your set is that after the style went out of fashion,, no one wanted it !! As to the potential value,, that depends on if anyone is willing to pay what you ask for the set !! That is what value is,, no matter what anyone says or what is in the books or website,, if no one is willing to pay that price,, their estimate is dead wrong !! So if you are selling the set,, start wherever you wish and keep your fingers crossed !!
