For something of this size I recommend your local Craigslist !! That way they will pick up and no shipping is involved !! I have had good results there on large items but none were antiques !! Have sold Horse trailers, boats, barges, and motor homes !!
But if you use Craigslist,,be sure someone is there with you when its picked up !! There are too many nuts in this world !! And do not fall for the scammers,, there will be some !! If you are unsure about something or someone who offers you an unbelievable deal,, please ask here before doing anything !! I am usually here daily !! And never give your address until you know they are interested !! Just give the town name and your first name !! You can tell the scammers by the questions they ask !! Most know nothing about what they are asking about !! I listed a cutting horse once and they asked me if he came with a cage and didn`t even want to see it or know anything about a 1000lb horse !! That would have been a very large cage !! The people who are the good buyers will know about antique and vintage furniture !! You might even do well with just an ad in your local newspaper !!
Be sure to tell whoever buys this sideboard not to refinish it !! Pretty sure much is faux grained and the graining will be removed if they do !! You do not find that much faux grained furniture anymore in as good a condition as yours. Everyone tries to refinish them and the art has been lost !!
I would love to have something like that to use for a bar !!
If this is a family piece,, why are you selling it,, if I may ask !!
Empire revival sideboard probably between 1890 and 1910 !! Looks to be solid oak but still can`t be sure with pics !! Possibly some faux graining added but even the secondary wood is oak !! Its a beautiful piece !! In todays market you should be able to sell for around $1200. in most areas if its all tight and in good condition !!
We are running out of room for it. I was using it as a bedroom dresser, but that was tight on space. Thank you for all your help! Do you have recommendations on how or where to sell?

On the picture that shows the drawer corner ,, the size is good but the outside of that corner is what I need to see !! Where the side piece meets the front !! On the pics that are not loading,,reduce the size and try again !! This site has a 2MB size limit on pics !!
Faux graining was very popular and was quite an art form !! They would use less expensive woods and literally paint the oak graining on !! This was during the Golden Oak era !! The link at the top will give you information about it !!
Just need to determine what type your sideboard is !!
Thank you for your help. I was able to download a smaller picture. I will download the side pictures below.
Thank you so much for all of your help! Its funny that you say you would love it for a bar…my husband and I have said the same thing! Maybe I will be able to hold onto it and finally get that bigger house! 🙂
