I have a Lane Company Chest that I inherited when my mom passed away. I am trying to get an idea as to its history and value. Its a little beat up but structurally its very solid. I have a style number of 240004 and a serial number of 2965190. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has a lot of sentimental value to me.

Your chest was made September 15, 1969 at plant #2 !! I believe the plant closed in 2001 !! As with any piece of furniture,,the history begins when it is purchased !! Before that its just an ordinary chest like many others they made !!
