I inherited an antique commode. We assume it was made in Liege, Belgium somewhere between 1720 and 1760. Any idea of its worth? It is in really great condition

First of all,, let me say that this is my opinion from looking at the pics and with what limited information is available !! It is a very nice commode and correct for the style around Liege, Belguim and some parts of France for the 1760 date !! I don`t think it was earlier than 1760 !! Oddly the dovetailing reminds me more of the German cabinetmakers !! That would also be typical of that region !!
As to value,, looking at what is on the market currently with very few past sales,, my opinion would be that your commode should sell for between $4000. and $6000. !! I did see a few condition issues although minor but enough to at least mention !! Those would be the dings on the front and some fading of the finish !! Good thing is you have the key and the hardware has not been replaced !! Now if you are wanting an insurance value $7500. would be a more appropriate amount !!
As I said before this is only my opinion and if you ask ten people you will likely get ten different answers !! There are many more things that may affect a sale that are not relative to your commode !! Such as its popularity in the U.S. market !! Here I have been assuming you are in the States,, if not you can correct me !! Hope this helps a bit !!
