I’m hoping to sell an old Choate-Hollister dining room table and don’t know how to best price and market it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well if you live in GR and the table was made there,, thats where I would start !! You could try a local auction if there is one near or online with local pick up !!
I am in Texas and have used Craigslist for large items with good results !! Just beware of the scammers and if it sounds too good to be true,, run like hell !!
And always have someone with you when its picked up !! Too many crazies in the world so be safe !!

Thanks so much for your advice. I have 5 leaves (no skirts) and the table extends out to 10 feet. I will take your advice and try Craigslist. I live in Grand Rapids MI so closest large metro areas are Chi and Det. Could be a tough sell.

Choate Hollister furniture mfg. was not in business long !! Approx. 1890 to 1899 !! The company burned in 1899 and was never rebuilt !! They are well known for their American Oak furniture and made extension tables !! Your table is in the Empire Revival style !! Do you have the leaves with yours ?? Asking prices are pretty high for their furniture but I have not seen any that actually sold !! Would take a rather large dining area for this table which most do not have !! I would recommend your local Craigslist to sell it !! Just list in the major city nearest you within driving range !! You can try listing at the higher prices ($2500. to $3000.) but with this economy I do not think it will sell for that !! You can always come down if needed !!
