Apologies for the lousy pics! Any info greatly appreciated.
There are no markings on the lamp…..I have seen these before but don’t know who made them or what their value is
Thanks!

Excellent !! Glad you found it !!

Seems the Continental Art Company was pretty active. I still haven’t been able to place a monetary value on it.

Hi Martha—

This lamp is pretty old so doubt it was made in China! I’ve seen them for sale on the “used / collectors” market years ago.

UPDATE!! I just found a stamp on the base!
“Continental Art Company 1953”

The plot thickens!

It would be easier to find Bigfoot in the pacific northwest than finding a lamp with no makers mark,, which many do not have !! Compared to all that have been made in the last 50 years or so only a few have the majority of parts made by one mfr or company !! The problem is that each of the parts are made by a different mfr. One will make the base,,another the light sockets and cord and another will make the shade and if it has a metal foot it is made by even another mfr !! Chances are the shade was chosen at a later date than when the lamp was purchased. I have lamps here that have gone through several shades over the years.
Add to that the fact that many of the ceramic bases come from China and are only assembled at the end destination point,,you can see why its difficult !!
I have looked and so far found nothing even close to yours !!

I would have thought somebody knows about these lamps.
