I was told this iron and brass bed was dated pre WW1 1900-1910. I can’t seem to find any other info on it. I’m wondering if I should have it restored or sell as is? I know the rails are not original, it fits a full mattress now. I’m wondering the worth. Can anyone give me any info on it, I can’t find any markings. I’d appreciate the help.

New Orleans would be an excellent place to advertise it if its not too far !! Do not know the distance from you !! I have been around the Shreveport area quite a bit !!

I’m in Lutcher which is half way between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I have it listed on craigslist now.

Just run an ad in your local craigslist !! That’s the best way to sell large things that you can`t ship by mail !! What part of Louisiana are you in ??

Thanks. I was told it would cost upwards of $600 to restore. Now I need to find someone who buys things like this in Louisiana.

These are not as popular as they once were !! Save your money and sell it as-is !! You would spend more to have it sand blasted, re-plated and painted than its worth !! If you can get $200 to $250. that would be top price in most areas !!
