I have a Possum Belly cabinet I bought for a great price at a closing antique store. In the process of refurbishing it, I took off what seemed to be the original hardware that had a company marked stamped on the back. It reads “THE B&B CO. BPTCT” I have tried to find out more about the maker of this piece and cannot find anything about this company. My assumption is the BPTCT stands for Bridgeport, CT. Does anyone have any information about the company?

Thanks in advanced!

The hardware will not ( usually) tell you who made the cabinet !! Pulls, locks, and other hardware were bought in bulk by the makers of the cabinet !! Same as today !! Unless the mfr had their own foundry, the wood portion was made by one company and the hardware could have been bought from any of the mfrs across the U.S. !! In your case,, the B&B company !!
