Hello. I am wondering if anyone recognizes this mark on a French clock movement. It is a capital E, then a star, and a C. The dial is signed Brindeau a Paris, but I know that is not necessarily related to the maker of the movement. I appreciate any help or ideas. Thanks

This is just odd !! I can not find anything that matches either set of initials !! At the top in the first pic there is an R with a series of dots and an A,,, Then the E star C and nothing !! So I tried the name which I think is Nicolas Brindeau,, I can find references to some clock movements and several clock faces with his name but not a thing on him personally !! It almost seems like there was no person with that name !!
I would suggest you contact the NAWCC with good pics, front and back and see if they are familiar with this clock maker !! Please give all details !! They frown on asking about value but will help with any history or information needed !! Once you know what the clock is for sure,, the value should be easy to find !!
Please come back here and update after going to the NAWCC,, I am curious about this !!
