Sorry, I misunderstood your question earlier about the symbol. I thought you were referring to the signature since I did not know of any other symbols on the lamp. What you’re seeing is actually a reflection of my dining room light above the table where I took the photographs. So it is a reflection in the glass of the lamp. I didn’t even realize it had that in the photo until you mentioned it. Sorry for the confusion over the symbol you were asking about.

Yes I looked at your iisting earlier !! No it is not and if someone told you that,, I would have said “pay me” !! It is a line drawing not a painting and is either machine done or transfer !! Is the symbol I asked about on the glass ?? You can see it in the pic above the image of the girl !!
I can also see the symbol in the listing pics so I can assume it is made in the glass !! Looks like an inverted Y inside a circle ??

I took my photos to the antique show we have once a month and went to the booth that sells lamps. The gentleman told me it’s a GWTW style and since handpainted and signed it could be well worth over $1K, especially from famous artist. That artist signature is on the inside of the top globe. I had someone point me to a website last night to check various things on it. After doing what the website said I believe that it’s not as valuable as the gentleman at the antique show led me to believe and dropped my price substantially. I am curious about it being signed though and I haven’t seen another one like it??? If you go to the link Sophie provided above u can see much better pics of it.

May I ask who told you about the lamp ?? Is that symbol above the picture on the glass ?? Exactly where is the name located on the lamp ?? Hard to tell n the pics !! I do not see it around the pic !! But this site does not enlarge pics when needed !!

Thanks SophieMarie. That is actually my listing. Lol. I priced it substantially less than what it was thought to be valued at since I didn’t know anything about the artist. I’m still trying to find out anything I can about the artist and the lamp so I can update my listing with any info I find. You’re a great internet detective though!!! Lol. I will send ya all my other unknown items I’ve collected throughout the years to identify for me…lol..jk. 😀

I’ve been told I’m not allowed buy anything else until I get rid of some of what I have and I can’t have that. 😮
