My parents bought this cherry-stain Shockey vanity and chair in 1960.

Very nice mid century modern set !! Would be close to 1960 I think they closed in 1961 !! Not many that have sold other than bed sets and dressers !! No company history other than small tid bits here and there !! Mid century modern remains fairly active in the market !! If it were me I would put $750.to $850. on this set if it is excellent condition !! Only drawback is,, not many use vanity sets any more and many will not buy something unless they can use it for something !! I think it would look nice in a guest bath/powder room with some small toiletries for those that may visit !! You can usually buy the smaller sizes for travel ect !! When you list it be sure to give a few ideas of how it can be used !! May help your sale !!
