Hello everyone!

My mom bought this lamp 25 years ago in London and there is no way to identify what kind of lamp it is. Some friends from CW told me it might be a kids lamp from the 50’s-60’s or even a dollhouse lamp (although it is way to big, such hand big) . The thing is that even with that tips couldn’t find nothing even similar so I am totally lost.

Any ideas? 🙂

Well, Bakelite would date it to probably 40`s to 50`s !!
Here is one very similar base and size on ebay but in the UK !! Different lamp but is advertised as a Childs night light !!
The item number is,,272310117378 on ebay !! It is also battery and the bottom slides open as yours does with a wood cover !! The seller doesn`t know much about it !!

yes the shade is glass, the red part seems to be bakelite and the cover is wood.

Hi Martha,

Yes is a battery operated tiny lamp, the lamp covers my hand (which is not a big one) but the right measure is 9x6x12 cm.
