Does anyone know age or value?

0

I’ve just inherited what I believe to be an Empire-style lamp and would love to know more about it. It’s age, country of origin, worth and what style of shade was on this type of lamp originally (silk? glass? etc.). It’s been in our family forever, it seems. My 82 y/o mother tells me that it was her grandparents or great-grandparents and thinks that it is approximately 100 years old. My grandfather rewired it in the late-70’s and so the cord, wiring and socket are not original. The harp and shade are missing. The lamp is approx. 21″ from it’s base to the socket. The metal is brass, I think, and heavy. The marble is real and also quite heavy. The decorative portion on the main stem of the lamp is enameled, I believe. It is thick and feels textured. The only two possible makers marks are on the underside of the base and are shown in one of the photos below.
I would be so appreciative if anyone here could give me more information on my lamp.
Many thanks!
Lynn
