Hello, picked this up yesterday and am hoping for some help ID’ing it.

It was called a dresser. Looks to have some metal hooks on the back, so I think maybe it once held a mirror?

Inset top which is missing entirely, they said originally it was fabric over wood.

Dovetail drawer edges. Curved and etched legs. Some etching/detailing. Brass(?) etched knobs with a floral pattern. Bottom of the drawers is a bright red thinnish wood. Veneer designs, some of which are peeling.

Interested in hearing potential origin, purpose, date range, and type of wood so that I can figure out how to care for it properly/restore it. Thank you!
