Does anyone know age or value?

0

Looking to learn about a cabinet I have that was made by the Marietta Chair Co. in Ohio. The sticker on the back says “The Baby Grand” and the number 864. I’ve tried google and don’t come up with much about this company, other than a history book from 1902 which touts the company as quite big with a major impact on the local eonomy in the day. I haven’t found listings of furniture from this company. I’m unsure what to call this piece of furniture… a sideboard, a hutch?… don’t know… it is two pieces. The sticker says it is “BROWN Ea. Am Maple”. Any information is helpful, including if you have any idea of a value? Thank you!

It has no markings or anything on it anywhere not even inside the clock that would help to identify it. I had one person tell me they thought it was a Quimper Clock and could be worth a few thousand. Another said he saw one sell for $5,800.00 at auction in Iowa. And one other from Las Vegas offered $1,000.00 for it and would come here to Oregon to get it. I have tried to find anything like it on the internet with no success. I did find out that prior to 1870 Quimper Items had no markings of any kind. So it could have been made before 1870. I would like to sell it but want to know its origin first. If you know someone that could help me find out info about it please let me know. Or make me an Offer! Call or text 541-530-9415 Anytime. Please leave message if no answer

I’ve just inherited what I believe to be an Empire-style lamp and would love to know more about it. It’s age, country of origin, worth and what style of shade was on this type of lamp originally (silk? glass? etc.). It’s been in our family forever, it seems. My 82 y/o mother tells me that it was her grandparents or great-grandparents and thinks that it is approximately 100 years old. My grandfather rewired it in the late-70’s and so the cord, wiring and socket are not original. The harp and shade are missing. The lamp is approx. 21″ from it’s base to the socket. The metal is brass, I think, and heavy. The marble is real and also quite heavy. The decorative portion on the main stem of the lamp is enameled, I believe. It is thick and feels textured. The only two possible makers marks are on the underside of the base and are shown in one of the photos below.
I would be so appreciative if anyone here could give me more information on my lamp.
Many thanks!
Lynn
