I’d like to know if anyone is familiar with this style daybed. I can’t find anything like it online. I’m not even sure what type of wood it is. I know it’s an antique and that’s about it. I would like to figure out approximate age, furniture style and perhaps origin?

This is my first time in the forum and I think this community is awesome for getting information that you use to have to visit shops and dealers to get!

My wife and I have an old mirror and for some reason I can’t help but feel like we should be taking good care of it. The wife wants to paint the frame and I think that is a horrible idea.

I am hoping that someone who knows what they are talking can back me up.

That is a William and Mary revival piece, fashioned to resemble the court cupboard form that was popular in the late 17th century. Lovely piece!
