This piece of furniture was given to me by a family member but neither one of us know much about it. It was originally in my grand parents house. I have been told it is called a chinoiserie. I would like to know what it actually is, where it might have come from and the date that it may have been made. It is a very nice piece that I want to display in my home. Any information that someone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

This vanity was purchased in western Pennsylvania in a second hand store in the 50’s. It had been painted but is now refinished. The wood is gorgeous – curly maple, oak, walnut.
