I am 58 and have inherited a bed, head board and footboard, with angels carved on the headboard and footboard. The headboard is about 5 feet tall and is in perfect condiition. My grandmother inherited this and she woudnot be 140 if she were alive. The woman who gave it toher was about 50 years older than her. Point is, teh bed is over 200 years old. It also has a small dresser and some type of wash pc. I have no idea what this is worth. A cousin wants it because she has fallen in love with it. So she says. Can you tell me what it might be worth? Thanks, Christi:unsure: I can post pictures tomorrow if that will help
I bought this clock in a thrift store. It doesn’t work according to clerk (I haven’t plugged it in because I don’t want to possibly harm motor more).
The motor was made by Haydom Mtg Co. and it’s earliest patent is 1933 & it’s latest is 1944 (Haydom was an incredible man & inventor from what I have read on him so far – with over 100 patents!)
The clock has no external markings from any company, so I thought it may be pre production, a prototype or a discontinued clock before it was started.
It has a military look (Haydom worked with the military during the war).
Any info on it, it’s rarity, it’s value, etc.. would be greatly appreciated.
I think it looks like a submarine’s window – & is one of the coolest clock designs I’ve ever seen!
Thanks for any help/info.
