I picked up this coffee table from a yard sale for a few dollars, brought it home, and got to work refinishing it. I stripped and sanded it. When I flipped it over I noticed the trademark “Bailey Tables”. Upon hours and hours of research I discovered it was a company out of Jamestown, NY in the early 1900s-1928(?).
Any other information on this piece would be appreciated. Also, have I devalued it by sanding? Do you think the wrought iron legs are original?
Is it fair to assume that since there is such a lack of information on Bailey Tables that this piece is rare and valuable?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!
