The word recomendari is romanian for recommendations from what i gather . The label is so worn as you can see il try get better pic right now ! Thanks . Any idea on stlye or wood type teak or oak ?

Hello ! I yet again would love your help im in ireland and i have a set of chairs with stamp and label but finding info very hard . They are heavy wood not sure what type appears to say C.T.C 2448 on the label with words i think are romanian ( recomendari) appear handcarved each lion is different it has a date 02 aug then rest is missing also a name M.H. CHAISE under one chair …….help please many regards .. karl

from what I can see,, the seat appears to be made of several oak planks that have been glued together !! The rest of the chair may be any one of several woods !! This is pretty typical of 20th century chairs !! True Windsor chairs seats are one single piece of wood !!
And this style is known as a brace back Windsor with decorative splat,,its just a more modern one !!
