Just got this lamp for Christmas – Anyone know how or where there might be a makers mark on it?

Check Pairpoint cut glass table lamps !! Do not know if anyone else calls them Mae West but I do !!

Mae West for SURE!! LOL – That is a nice piece of info. I am positive this is an older lamp – mainly due to the brass patina and the fixture patina as well. Thanx for the input!

Let me do some looking around !! Check back here !! Check the fixture for a patent number or name !! Sometimes those are not replaced !! I found some newer lamps with a similar style but base was different !! Yours has what I call a “mae west” shape !!

Thanx for the tips. My wife bought it for me for Christmas after I picked it out at the Medina Antique Mall here in Ohio. I have a lot of Cut Crystal but this is my first lamp and agree, it is a beautiful thing. It is 21″ tall. Has to have been rewired as it most probably would have had a toggle type switch on the cord, but this one has a rotary type more modern switch. When get the guts and gumchen, I will get out the blacklight and magnifying glass and give it a go!!! Thanx again!

The mark would likely be etched !! Possibly on the underside of base but I have seen some that are into the pattern and darn near impossible to find !! Hawkes signatures are hard to find for me !! Get it in good light and look inch by inch !! Were you not told anything by the person that gave it ?? How tall is the lamp ?? Look at the wiring and that can tell a bit about the age unless it has been re wired to modern !! The electrical fixtures usually have a patent number and can help with the age !!
It is a gorgeous lamp !!
