I put this in the general instead of Glass category –
Can anyone help identify these? Are they French ? D’ore? Neoclassical Period? Any help would be appreciated! They are heavy!
A pair of antique lidded crystal bowls on gilded cast bases. The bowls have a ball shape and feature intricate cut fan, star and diamond pattern throughout. The lid has an acorn finial attached to a round plate with embossed berry and vine motif. The tripod support are figural busts of a woman with curved bodies and claw feet, attached to a round base. An embossed pattern of laurel leaf decorates the border to the top and the border to the base. I am unable to find any markings.
Dimensions: 5.0″ W x 6.5″ H x 5.0″ D

The pictures are beautiful of the what could be a sugar or candy bowl. High quality work on the heads and feet. Any mark in the bottom or on the glass? When you take for finger and hoist the glas gently, does ring or thud? It looks around the late 1800’s but you really need a mark.

Sadly,, you are correct !! Not sure what feedback you are referring to !! There is no one from this site that helps here !! We are just people who have been in this business for many years and try to assist when we can !! Due to the lack of supervision by the moderators and site owners we have lost some of the best people in certain areas !! Seems that unless you are buying the literature which is pretty much worthless,,they really do not have time for anyone here !!

Yes I find it disappointing. I would like to seek advise on some cut glass & EAPG pitchers / jugs I inherited. Sadly I see more outreach for help than I do replies. This could be a terrific forum but so far not enough feedback. 🙁
