Hi..Does anyone know about Morgantown glass. I have some dessert plates and all of them are a little rough around the bottom rim. Is that something Morgantown is known for? Also, if anyone has a Morgantown book, can someone tell me when these were made. The plates are Queen Louise. Thanks so much for any help anyone can provide.
I did not find information on that from Morgantown but I have seen other glassware that were similar !! Sometimes there is a tiny ridge of glass that is slightly above the foot !! Like you said it is not that noticable but you can feel it when you rub your finger around it !! It would be a mold problem when it was made !! Occasionally this problem is ground down before selling depending on how bad it is but not always !!
