We have a glass bottle made by the owens-illinois co. It is approximately 12″ tall with a neck approximately 8″ long and 1″ around. The shoulder is approcimately 3″ in long and angles out at 45 degrees till it meets the base. There are horizontal seams on both sides that run from about half an inch above the base to just below the crown cap. There is a seam that runs the circumference of the neck just below the crown cap. And there are 3 seams that run the circumference of the base. The middle seam is very rough with sacrring around the base. At the base of the neck there is a 1/2″ white painted line, and the measurement 1/32 etched into the glass right above the painted line. On the bottom is the owens-illinois mark from 1954 and after with G-1777 above the mark, 3 to the left of the mark, #i below the mark, and the # 56 to the right of the mark. Please someone tell me what in the worl is ths bottle. I have searched every glass online glass site, every owens-illinois site, plus the sha.org site. currently the bottle is with an antique dealer here who is trying to find out what it is so I have no image yet, but I will get one posted tomorrow.
